🚫 Fishing is temporarily prohibited off the coast of Ashkelon
In accordance with the directive of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, fishing is prohibited in the marine area off the coast of Ashkelon until Monday, September 7, 2026.
The ban has been implemented as a precautionary measure following an unusual algal bloom in the Mediterranean Sea and the work carried out to mitigate the effects of the phenomenon, which has also affected the operation of desalination plants in recent days.
Fishermen are requested to adhere to the guidelines and refrain from fishing in the specified area until the ban is lifted.
