On 5 July the studio summer exhibition closed at the Afridar cultural centre. We showed work made since January: charcoal drawing, portraits and the first oil canvases.

The exhibition held 58 works by 24 authors, the youngest is 9 and the oldest is 71. A separate wall went to the adult group that started drawing this year, with charcoal still lifes and plaster heads.
About 310 people saw the exhibition over three days. On Saturday there was an open table: anyone could sit down and draw a plaster cast, 46 people sat at it over two hours and 12 of them signed up for a trial lesson.
Seven works were chosen by the city gallery committee for the autumn exhibition. The next studio show is planned for the end of December, and we start collecting work for it in October.
The outcome
Four adults from the beginners group showed their work in public for the first time, and seven sheets were chosen for the autumn city exhibition at the Afridar gallery.
