Avigdor Lieberman spoke at the presentation of the NDI election list for the 26th Knesset

The leader of NDI reminded that back in 2016 he presented the military-political cabinet with a document containing the exact scenario of the "Nukhba" invasion, which was rejected by the country's leadership due to a false concept of appeasing terror. The main conclusion of the party: Israel's security must be based solely on initiative, preemptive strikes, and the destruction of the enemy, and the future government should prioritize those who serve, work, and pay taxes.

Key points of the speech

•⁠ ⁠Block strategy instead of infighting: Lieberman warned partners in the camp against repeating the mistakes of past elections. Pointing to the ambition of Gadi Eisenkot and the "Yashar" party to become the largest faction, he emphasized: "It is not enough to be the largest party if the entire block does not achieve a majority. Four years ago, Lapid took 24 mandates, but we found ourselves in the opposition. Internal cannibalism in the block will bury the chances of victory - mandates need to be taken from the opposing camp."

•⁠ ⁠No deals with Netanyahu and the Haredim. NDI excludes any compromises on the conscription law. Attempts to exempt 30% of yeshiva students or allocate a quota of 4500 people are called self-deception, preserving the problem. All budgets and privileges must be redirected from evaders to reservists and working citizens. At the same time, Lieberman allowed that in the future, Likud could join the liberal-Zionist coalition without Netanyahu.

•⁠ ⁠The party opposes turning the country into a "federation of sectors" and declares the unacceptability of the "Bnei Brak syndrome," separate sidewalks, and gender segregation in the academic environment.

"We are at a critical crossroads for the future of Israel. Therefore, these elections will determine not only who will resign but also what future awaits our country.

NDI has a clear answer. We are going to the elections with experience, strategic vision, and a step-by-step action plan.

The first step is a government decision to establish a state investigative commission. The State of Israel is obliged to investigate everything that led to the tragedy of October 7 - both politically and militarily. Without leniency and without immunity for anyone.

The second step is the adoption of a law on unified conscription. Everyone will stand in line at the conscription center. After October 7, after almost three years of attrition warfare and a colossal burden on reservists, there is no more room for benefits and quotas. Everyone who turns 18 - Jew, Muslim, Christian, Druze, or Circassian - will be required to appear at the conscription center, and the army will decide who will go to military service and who will go to alternative civilian service.

The third step is mandatory study of core subjects in schools. Every child whose education is funded by the state must acquire the skills necessary for integration into society and the labor market.

The fourth step is to limit the prime minister's term to two terms. Power in a democratic state is a mission, not a lifetime job.

The fifth step is to create a national headquarters to combat organized crime and restore governance.

The sixth step is to adopt a constitution for Israel. After almost eight decades, it is time to establish unified rules for the functioning of Israeli democracy, a system of checks and balances between branches of government, as well as the rights and duties of every citizen.

We stand for a Jewish, Zionist, and democratic state. We love the traditions of Israel and Jewish values, but we will firmly oppose the ultra-religious dictate.

Our guiding principle is live and let live.

We will not allow the "Bnei Brak syndrome" to engulf the entire country. Municipalities will no longer be able to make decisions about separate sidewalks for men and women, and we will abolish the law on gender segregation in the academic environment.

We will return the State of Israel to normalcy.

This is the kind of Israel we want to return to ourselves: Jewish, Zionist, and democratic. A country that respects traditions without imposing them. A country that values freedom without compromising identity, and, most importantly, a state in which we respect each other.
