A brutal attack by a mob on children because of their origin is not an ordinary school quarrel or a "children's conflict." This is violence based on hatred, which must be fought against resolutely and uncompromisingly.
A zero-tolerance policy must apply to racism and violence. Those responsible must face real punishment, and the school administration is obligated to take the strictest disciplinary measures and do everything to ensure that this does not happen again.
Such cases cannot be silenced, justified, or downplayed. Racism must be eradicated at its roots — in schools, on the streets, and throughout Israeli society.
