We trained on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:30 to 10:00, in the hours when there is no public swimming. Each group worked with two people: a coach and an assistant from the senior sports group.
In the final lesson the children swam 25 metres without support and without fins. Those who did not finish the distance were held back by uneven breathing rather than by technique, so a separate group of 8 has been opened for them in August.
Parents' feedback was collected on paper forms on the closing day, 41 forms out of 48. The main request in them: add morning lessons on Tuesdays as well.
The outcome
31 of the 48 children swam 25 metres on their own, and the other 17 continue in the August group with a focus on breathing.
