On 9 July an open training day took place at the hall on Ben Gurion Boulevard. 62 people came, 16 of them teenagers.

We worked for three hours on two courts. The first hour went to receiving and passing drills for those who came for the first time, after that we played short sets to 15 points in mixed line-ups.
Of the 62 who came, 9 signed up for the regular groups: 6 for the women's group and 3 for the mixed one. Teenagers aged 14 to 17 trained separately with Igor Shapiro.
Entry was free, balls and knee pads were handed out in the hall. We are planning the next open day for the end of September, after the tournament.
The outcome
Of the 9 new players 7 came to the next session, the women's group grew from 14 to 19, and the second court is now in use on both days.
